Professor of Organizational Behavior at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business

Dr. Anita Williams Woolley is a  Professor of Organizational Behavior at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. 


She received her doctorate in organizational behavior from Harvard University. Her research includes seminal work on collective intelligence in teams, first published in Science in 2010 and since discussed and cited in thousands of research publications and news outlets.


Her ongoing research focuses on collective intelligence in teams and human-computer collaboration, with projects funded by DARPA and the NSF, focusing on Generative AI and collaboration.


Dr. Woolley is a Senior Editor at Organization Science and a founding Associate Editor of the ACM journal Collective Intelligence
