Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lead Switzerland

At Johnson & Johnson (J&J), we have been championing women and providing the tools, resources and opportunities to succeed since our founding more than 130 years ago. We believe women can be catalysts for creating healthier people, healthier communities, and a healthier world. Women are innovators meeting today’s challenges and inventing tomorrow’s solutions. They are scientists and technologists. They are caregivers, mentors, mothers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. They are the anchors of the family, leaders in our business and drivers of the global economy.

Our Commitment To Women

COMMITTED TO #BREAKTHEBIAS

Johnson & Johnson is committed to empower women and girls, everywhere, so they have limitless opportunities to change the trajectory of health for humanity. Through several J&J programs and initiatives, we are forging a more gender-balanced world both within our walls, and outside them. Read on to explore some examples on how J&J changes the rules, not only in Switzerland, but globally.

women’s leadership initiative

Within our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) we are committed to advancing the potential of women by achieving gender equality at all levels, across all businesses and functions – both inside and outside the company. WLI fosters an inclusive mindset and environment that enables all employees to understand the imperative for, and contribute to creating, a gender-diverse workforce. Our goal is to provide tools and resources to facilitate a culture that enables women to connect and engage across the enterprise, to develop skills and to achieve their full professional and personal potential.

unconscious bias & conscious inclusion

The focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is not new to J&J. They are woven throughout Our Credo. From the consumers and patients to our employees – each represents every aspect of humanity there is. In our quest to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives advancing our culture of inclusion and innovation is critical. We want to make sure that everyone knows that Diversity & Inclusion mean You Belong and that we all have a role to play in building that culture where you can be yourself and change the world.

Achieving this vision will require our collective efforts. Everyone has unconscious biases, and they sometime interfere with us achieving our best. By understanding how our brains work and the way unconscious bias impacts our ability to make the best decisions, we’re better able to build a culture of inclusion and innovation for everyone. We are laying a foundation by developing people leaders with several tools and resources to build inclusive leadership competences.

In Switzerland, we continue to prioritize improving the overall processes to include diverse slates, succession plans and utilization of diverse interview teams.

wistem2d initiative

re-ignite program

Our unique recruiting approach targets STEM2D talent that has taken a 2yr+ career break. Opportunities within the Re-Ignite program are set up as a four-month* returnship assignment within Johnson & Johnson. Participants and managers can consider full-time roles after the successful completion of the program. It’s a proven approach to welcoming people back to the workforce after a career break of two years or longer. Whether they paused to focus on family, serve their country, start a business, or something else,we know they’re motivated to make an impact now that the time is right.

supplier diversity program

Johnson & Johnson invests in women-owned and minority suppliers through our Supplier Diversity Program. J&J companies have long recognized that small and diverse suppliers play an important role in the success of our businesses and strives to work with suppliers as diverse as the world in which we live, and to unite around a common purpose so we can pave the way to a healthier future for those we serve.
