In 2022, Advance has initiated a whitepaper series to raise awareness for the challenges and opportunities in gender-specific labor market topics. All Advance whitepapers are published in collaboration with member companies contributing with their specific expertise. The goal is to accelerate change to make Switzerland a more inclusive workplace – with win-wins for individuals and the economy at large.

Compelling data reveals the untapped talent pool of women over 40. We ran a comprehensive survey engaging over 1,200 professional women in Switzerland across all sectors and management levels. 90% express a desire for further career advancement. Age does not diminish women’s career ambitions, neither does parenthood. However, despite their qualifications and expertise, women over 40 often find themselves overlooked. The first Advance whitepaper highlights the implications of the current tax system on the development of gender diversity in the Swiss economy. Advance also publishes the annual Gender Intelligence Report (GIR) in collaboration with the Competence Centre for Diversity & Inclusion of the University of St. Gallen. The GIR creates transparency about the development of gender equality in Swiss Business and contains valuable recommendations and best practices to inspire business leaders to move from insights to impact.
