This interactive and engaging workshop is designed to familiarize you with the design thinking method and to apply it to your own life and career.
Our goal is to help you think like a designer, create the ideal life and career you want and give you tools to make it happen. We will equip you with the fundamentals of the design thinking process. It is used by cutting edge companies as a key tool for solving complex problems through creativity.
Outcomes
You will
- Learn and apply the principles of design thinking
- Develop a solid understanding of your current reality, your key enablers and resources
- Learn new ways of framing your key challenges and barriers to success
- Get inspiration and advise from the group to ideate on possible pathways to design your best immediate future
- Create three potential pathways for your future and learn how to try out the most compelling parts
- Develop an action plan and define next steps
Target Audience
- Exclusively for female managers
- Mid-level high potential female managers with at least 8 years of working experience
- Max. 22 participants from different Advance member companies

- One-day workshop, 9:00 – 17:00
- One credit per participant. Additional credits can be bought for 1’300 CHF per participant

Malvika Singh
Managing Director IMPACT
Malvika Singh is the founding partner of IMPACT, an international consulting and leadership development firm with offices in Switzerland and the U.S.A. She has over thirty years of experience as a successful leader in a multicultural environment. She works with Boards, CEOs, senior executives and top leadership teams in the areas of organization and leadership development. Her work focuses on the creation of innovation by design, and she specializes in working with individuals and organizations to create breakthrough results.
Malvika earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from New York University, and Organizational Gestalt Diploma from Metanoia Institute. She is a member of Harvard Kennedy School Women’s Leadership Board (WLB), a lecturer at the Lorange Institute of Business, and was formerly affiliated with Ashridge University and CCL.
Malvika is passionate about advancing the cause of women. She is a champion and advocate of women getting a fair share representation in the corporate world. She is the initiator and co-founder of Advance and is an honorary board member.
Malvika is married with two children.
Dr. Martina S. Bender-Scheel
Director at Deloitte
Martina is a Director with Deloitte’s Swiss Office in Zurich and was formerly a consultant with McKinsey & Company. She has a breadth of business experience working with diverse organizations across multiple industries in the areas of Leadership Development, Talent Management and Transformational Change. Martina spearheaded the transformation of Deloitte’s HR function into an agile organization to enable future fit talent practices and a more agile, employee-centric Talent organization.
Martina is a professionally trained coach. She is skilled in creating an environment for people to leverage their full potential. As a coach and facilitator, Martina has positively impacted the lives of many of women leaders.
Martina holds a diploma in Business Administration from Mannheim University. She also earned a PhD (Dr. rer.oec.) from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
