Become comfortable with power

Women who are comfortable with their power in all its forms, have a solid basis for their authenticity, and their brain states can move from being a good leader to a great leader. Come and take the next step in your personal journey.

Authenticity is often spoken of in relation to leadership. But how often do we examine what authenticity really means? And is authenticity different for men and women? Our authenticity is the basis for our personal power, but we have to step into the power we already have from other sources. And authenticity itself won’t make us a great leader. Our brain states will influence our decisions and our relationships. We need to move with ease from our lower brain state to our higher brain state and act from there. It is the combination of authenticity and brain states that will increase our personal power so that we truly can become great leaders. In this workshop you will examine what authenticity means to you, how you relate to power and how you can attain and maintain a higher brain state. Come and chart your own journey to becoming a truly great authentic woman leader.

Outcomes

You will

  • look at the sources of your power and assess your influence in your current role
  • identify where you feel powerful and powerless, and comfortable and uncomfortable in relation to power
  • examine different perspectives on authenticity and look at ways of finding and operating from your authentic self
  • take charge of your Brain States Management ™ to keep yourself in a higher brain state so you have easier access to your authentic self
  • integrate the 3 components of authentic leadership – self-identity, leader identity, and spiritual identity – with the 3 pillars of authenticity – self-awareness, decision-making, and taking responsibility for consequences

Target Audience

  • Exclusively for female managers
  • Mid-level high potential female managers with at least 8 years of experience and 2+ years of managing a team.
  • Max. 22 participants from different Advance member companies

Format

  • One-day workshop, 9.00-17.00
  • One credit per participant. Additional credits can be bought for 1’300 CHF per participant

Geraldine Bown is the founder and Managing Director of Domino Perspectives; a former President of the European Women’s Management Development Network; a founder member of the European Institute for Managing Diversity; and co-founder of the Diamond Edge Program for women leaders. Geraldine is known for her transformational training and inspirational presentations. She is a recipient of an ASTD Excellence in Practice citation for her Diversity work with PepsiCo in over 30 countries. She runs her Diamond Edge Program in Connemara, Ireland and in the US.
