Medical Doctor, Engineer or Aircraft Pilot depending on the day of the week
What was your aha-moment when you realized that gender stereotypes may (or do) have an impact on your career development?
How did you deal with it?
When I spent 40% of the time allocated for an interview explaining how I was planning to combine my job there with caring for my then 4-year-old son.
I asked the hiring manager if he had children and when the last time was that he had to explain how he is organizing for that… And decided that I will never again apologize or justify my decision to have children AND a career.
What is your number 1 advice for career aspiring women?
Be prepared to work hard and make major sacrifices… and make sure you know WHY you are doing it.
