What was your dream career as
a girl?
My dream career as a girl was to become a fashion designer. I remember when I couldn’t find a dress or top I liked and had my own idea of what I was looking for. I have always been a creative person and really into textiles. The same passion I now have for home furnishing and accessories.
What was your aha-moment when you realized that gender stereotypes may (or do) have an impact on your career development?
How did you deal with it?
I have not yet experienced an “aha moment”. I have been fortunate to have amazing leaders and managers who always promoted women and men based on the skills, attitude, and behaviors.
What is your number 1 advice for career aspiring women?
My advice for career aspiring women is to develop your own legacy in order to stay true to yourself and what you believe in. When you do that, you will fly! And: “Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes.” – Ruth Bader Ginsburg
