ARE YOU
BOARD READY?

join the discussion

If serving on a board is on your radar in the near future, this event is for you.

Companies with at least one-to-three women directors on their corporate boards perform better on a range of measures, from higher returns on investment to more ethical corporate governance practices. Not only is diversity better for the bottom line, it shows the next generation of female leaders that women can reach the top.

Advance – Gender Equality in Business & the Boardroom are co-organizing an event in Zurich about why board diversity matters and how to secure a board seat. What kind of skillset & experience do you need to become a board member? What can you do to accelerate your path to board membership? How have other secured their seats and what have they learnt along the way?

The panel discussion will feature CEOs and board members and will focus on their paths to the boards and on advice for others who aspire to land similar positions. It will be followed by round table conversations, each led by one of the panellists, who will engage in one-on-one discussion with the attendees. These breakout sessions are designed to meet the attendees where they are in their own career path – to give them practical advice and next steps to develop board readiness skills.

During this event, you will

  • hear the personal stories of current board members and their journey to the board assignment
  • get valuable insights on how to become a board member yourself
  • understand what the most relevant skills and experiences are to join a board
  • have the opportunity to ask your questions in one-to-one discussions
  • grow your network of senior executives
